Swimsuit Care

So you’ve bought the perfect Lime Ricki suit, turned heads at the pool, and now it’s time to wash it. Here are a few tips for making sure your suits stays in prime condition throughout the summer:

- Standard clothing detergents are typically too harsh for swimsuits, instead hand wash your suit using a gentle detergent such as dish soap in cold water

- Be sure to always line dry your suit. Washers and Dryers are too tough and hot for swimsuit materials

- To keep the colors of your suit bright and to prevent bleeding, fill a sink with cold water, add a tablespoon of vinegar, and let it soak for an hour

I do not have a facebook! I am disappointed that the contests at the present time are only for Facebook users :( Please have more contests that are available to ALL OF US, not just social media site users!

Help! I wore my new Lime Ricki swimsuit (blue confetti halter) for the first time when on vacation last week. I didn’t think to pack detergent so I hung up my suit to dry after swimming and planned to wash when I got home the next day. When I went to pack my suit up, the blue had bled in a few places while it dried. First thing I did when I got home was to fill a sink with cold water and use my gentle lingerie detergent that I use for all delicate washing. As soon as I put my suit in the water, the sink turned blue and the bleeding expanded! Unfortunately it did not bleed everywhere and you can still see spots where it looks like it did before. Is there anything I can do? I didn’t see this post before so I didn’t know to try the vinegar, but I followed all the instructions on the tags.
